E'grand fiscal Q3 profit climbs YOY

e'grand Co.Ltd said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2015, was ¥16.65 per share, an increase from ¥2.74 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥107.5 million, an increase from ¥43.8 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 2.7% from 1.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased on an annual basis to ¥3.93 billion from ¥3.81 billion, and total operating expenses totaled ¥3.70 billion, compared with ¥3.69 billion in the year-earlier period.

Reported net income grew on an annual basis to ¥524.0 million, or ¥81.15 per share, from ¥101.0 million, or ¥6.33 per share.

As of Feb. 8, US$1 was equivalent to ¥115.75.
