Sporting Clube de Portugal - Futebol SAD said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Dec. 31, 2015, came to a loss of €2.4 million, compared with a loss of €386,250 in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.
The normalized profit margin fell to negative 45.3% from negative 2.5% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 13.4% year over year to €17.3 million from €15.3 million, and total operating expenses increased 19.6% on an annual basis to €19.8 million from €16.6 million.
Reported net income totaled a loss of €18.2 million, or a loss of 27 cents per share, compared to a loss of €920,000, or a loss of 1 cents per share, in the prior-year period.
