Tax cut to cause $3B drag on BofA's Q4 net income

The lower corporate tax rate, signed Dec. 22 and effective Jan. 1, 2018, will cause Bank of America Corp. to cut fourth-quarter net income by approximately $3 billion.

The decrease will primarily be due to a downward revaluation of certain net deferred tax assets, the Charlotte, N.C.-based company said.
