Twitter Inc.said May 9 that it will roll out an update to its Periscope live video app in thecoming weeks that will expand save and search functions and allow DJI drones tobroadcast content to the platform.

The update will allow broadcasts to be saved for more than 24hours. Going forward, broadcasts will be saved permanently by default, though contentcreators will be able to manually delete videos or set them to auto-delete after24 hours. The platform also is working to improve discoverability oflive broadcasts and replays by allowing searches by title and topic and introducingseveral new categories such as Music or Travel, the company said. Periscope alsois launching a dedicated channel for GoPro and drone content.
