TheBank of Greece SAsaid April 7 that the ECB Governing Council did not object to the Greekcentral bank's request to lower the ceiling on emergency liquidity assistance toGreek banks to €69.9 billion until April 21.
TheGreek central bank attributed the reduction of €1.4 billion in the ELA cap to animprovement of the liquidity situation of Greek banks amid a reduction ofuncertainty and the stabilization of private sector deposit flows.
