MOD Resources Ltd. said Dec. 14 that the Botswana government granted two-year extensions for all the prospecting licenses covering the T3 copper project, part of the Botswana property.
The company also secured a new license, PL093/2018, for three years. In total, the licenses cover 8,163 square kilometers along the underexplored Kalahari copper belt.
MOD said the extensions provide certainty of title and confidence in the exploration and development of T3 and the highly prospective T20 project.
The licenses have been transferred to Tshukudu Exploration Pty. Ltd., a subsidiary of Metal Capital Exploration Ltd., owned 70% by MOD and 30% by Metal Tiger PLC.
MOD Managing Director Julian Hanna said recent exploration found copper in almost every drillhole across the previously underexplored central structural corridor.
In October, the first eight of the 18 licenses were extended and transferred to Tshukudu Exploration.
