Gas utility Spire Inc. named Scott Smith president of Spire Storage West LLC and Spire STL Pipeline LLC, according to an Oct. 15 news release.

Smith, who previously served as the president and CEO of Midstream Energy Holdings LLC, will lead the operations of Spire's gas storage facilities in Wyoming and pipelines connected to Spire Missouri East, among other markets in the U.S. Midwest.

Spire serves 1.7 million customers in Alabama, Mississippi and Missouri.
