DCP Midstream LP and Apergy Corp. subsidiary Windrock Inc. agreed to jointly develop a set of digital solutions utilizing artificial intelligence technology to improve DCP Midstream's oil and gas operations.
The joint development will integrate Windrock's artificial intelligence and smart-hardware technology into DCP Midstream's processes and operations, with functions such as anticipating changes in machine health in advance, according to a Jan. 21 news release.
DCP Midstream said the project is part of the company's efforts to boost its use of new technology to improve the company's asset reliability and efficiency, as well as reduce risks and costs.
DCP Midstream owns gathering, processing, logistics and marketing assets, while Apergy provides engineered equipment and technologies for oil and gas companies.
