Sompo Holdings makes management changes

Sompo Holdings Inc. made personnel changes including naming a new group chief strategy officer.

The company said Feb. 14 that it appointed Masahiro Hamada as group chief strategy officer, group chief information officer and managing executive officer, effective April 1. Hamada was previously general manager for the office of the group CEO and an executive officer. Hamada takes over from Shinichi Urakawa, who retires as group chief information officer from March 31.

Koichi Yoshikawa will take over as director and senior managing executive officer of Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Himawari Life Insurance Inc., effective April 1. He was previously group CACO, director and managing executive officer at Sompo Holdings.

Atsushi Mizuguchi will retire as managing executive officer and general manager of Sompo Holdings' North America regional headquarters and Europe and South America regional headquarters, effective March 31.
