NRG Energy completes sale of 2 Minn. wind facilities

NRG Energy Inc. has completed the sale of its entire membership interests in two wind farms to Longroad Energy Partners LLC affiliate Minnesota Wind Holdings LLC for an undisclosed sum.

The 50-MW Jeffers Wind facility in Cottonwood County, Minn., and the 30-MW Community Wind North facility in Lincoln County, Minn., sell power to Xcel Energy Inc. subsidiary Northern States Power Co. - Minnesota under two separate long-term power purchase agreements.

The parties consummated the transaction on Oct. 10. (FERC docket EC17-139)
