Pensando Systems Inc. garnered up to $145 million in series C financing led by Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. and Lightspeed Venture Partners.
Pensando provides a distributed computing platform for software-defined cloud, computing, networking, storage and security services. It plans to use the fresh capital to boost its engineering, operations and go-to-market activities.
HPE Chief Technology Officer Mark Potter and Lightspeed partner Barry Eggers joined the company's board, alongside JC2 Ventures CEO John Chambers as chairman.
