Independence Health Group Inc. named Gregory Deavens CFO, effective Jan. 30.

Deavens will also hold the roles of executive vice president and treasurer. He succeeds Alan Krigstein, who served as executive vice president, CFO and treasurer.

Deavens most recently was senior vice president and corporate controller at MassMutual Financial Group, the marketing name for Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co. and its affiliated companies and sales representatives.
