J.M. Smucker recalls Robin Hood flour over E. coli risk

The J. M. Smucker Co. has issued a voluntary recall of specific lots of Robin Hood All Purpose Flour due to possible E. coli contamination, the packaged food producer said Oct. 3.

The recall covers 5-pound packages of Robin Hood flour with UPC code case 0-51500-18010-2, UPC code item 0-51500-18010-5 and best-by dates of June 16, 17, 20 and 21, 2020.

Ohio-based J.M. Smucker said the affected products were distributed and sold in the U.S. The company noted that the recall does not impact products sold in Canada.

Consumers who have purchased bags of the affected flour are urged to dispose of them.

J.M. Smucker is conducting the recall with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
