Former New Zealand prime minister named as chairman of ANZ Bank New Zealand

Australia & New Zealand Banking Group Ltd. nominated former New Zealand Prime Minister John Key as chairman of unit ANZ Bank New Zealand Ltd.

The Australian bank said Oct. 18 that it appointed Key to the board of ANZ Bank New Zealand, effective the same day. He will become chairman in January 2018 after John Judge steps down from the role.
