Nordic private equity group Verdane Capital agreed to purchase stakes in four Norwegian e-commerce companies owned by investment firm Canica eCom through its Verdane Capital X private equity fund.
Verdane Capital X will buy half of Canica eCom's shares in online pharmacy Komplett Apotek and online auto parts retailer Norsk Bildelsenter in a deal that also includes online beauty retailer Blush.no and online furniture retailer SixBondStreet, according to a release.
Verdane and Canica eCom will invest a total of 200 million kroner to further develop the four online companies.
The transaction is slated to close mid-June, subject to the approval of relevant competition authorities.
As of May 29, US$1 was equivalent to 8.77 Norwegian kroner.
