PT Bank RakyatIndonesia (Persero) Tbk signed a memorandum of understanding with Japan'sJCB International Co. Ltd. for expanding the lender's consumer offerings, the Jakarta Globe reported April 8, citing AsmawiSyam, president director at the bank.

As part of the agreement, all JCB cards can be used at electronicpayment devices and ATMs of the bank.

Asmawi said the bank also aims to issue co-branded JCB creditcards in 2016.
