Food services company Aramark on Oct. 7 said it appointed John Zillmer as CEO, effective immediately.
Zillmer will replace Eric Foss, who announced his retirement in August.
The newly appointed executive was the former Chairman and CEO of Allied Waste Industries and Univar. He also served as president of global food and support service at Aramark.
Aramark appointed Zillmer and four new directors to the company's board. The new directors include Reynolds American Inc.'s former Chairman and CEO Susan Cameron, McDonald's Corp.'s former CFO Karen King, H.J. Heinz Co.'s former CFO Art Winkleblack, and Mantle Ridge LP CEO Paul Hilal, who will become vice chairman of the board.
Meanwhile, Yum! Brands Inc. CEO Greg Creed will be nominated and recommended for election to the board at the 2020 annual general meeting.
In the same release, Aramark said Pierre-Olivier Beckers-Vieujant, Lisa Bisaccia, Patricia Morrison and John Quelch have retired from the board.
