Vail Resorts Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended April 30 amounted to $3.59 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of $3.69 per share.
EPS increased 12.2% year over year from $3.20.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $134.3 million, an increase of 13.4% from $118.4 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 23.1% from 21.8% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew 6.7% year over year to $579.3 million from $543.0 million, and total operating expenses increased year over year to $350.8 million from $338.1 million.
Reported net income increased 13.2% from the prior-year period to $133.3 million, or $3.56 per share, from $117.8 million, or $3.18 per share.
