Latrobe Magnesium Ltd. was granted an Indonesian patent for its hydromet process, used for producing magnesium, the company said Oct. 11.
The company already has 20-year patents for the process, starting from August 2011, in Australia, the U.S. and China.
In July, Latrobe gained full control over the hydromet process by acquiring Ecoengineers Pty. Ltd., which held a 50% interest.
Patent applications for the European Union and India, lodged in March 2013, are expected to be granted later this year.
