S&B Foods Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 was ¥96.77 per share, compared with ¥97.04 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥671.9 million, compared with ¥673.8 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 2.1% from 2.1% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue fell year over year to ¥31.53 billion from ¥32.48 billion, and total operating expenses decreased on an annual basis to ¥30.41 billion from ¥31.32 billion.
Reported net income decreased 25.4% year over year to ¥547.0 million, or ¥78.78 per share, from ¥733.0 million, or ¥105.57 per share.
As of Nov. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥116.46.
