Global Sweeteners H1 loss narrows YOY

4911831 said its normalized net income for the first half amounted to a loss of 3 Hong Kong cents per share, compared with a loss of 6 cents per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of HK$42.7 million, compared with a loss of HK$95.9 million in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell 49.9% on an annual basis to HK$466.5 million from HK$931.1 million, and total operating expenses decreased 50.4% year over year to HK$523.0 million from HK$1.05 billion.
