BNP Paribas SA unit BNP Paribas Securities Services named a new head of its Germany and Austria business, Reuters reported Dec. 10.

Thorsten Gommel's appointment is effective April 2019. He will be based in Frankfurt.

He previously worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers as head of the asset and wealth management sector in Germany as well as its consulting business in asset and wealth management across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
