Longroad Energy closes acquisition of controlling stake in 2 Utah wind farms

Longroad Energy Holdings LLC has completed its acquisition of a 100% class A controlling stake in two Utah wind facilities, according to a document filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Feb. 26.

A newly formed subsidiary of Longroad Energy has bought the 203.5-MW Milford Wind I and the 102-MW Milford Wind II projects from an entity that is 80% owned by SunEdison Inc. and 20% owned by MTW Resources.

Both wind projects sell their output to the Southern California Public Power Authority under separate long-term power contracts.

The membership interests in Longroad Energy Holdings are held by Infratil US Renewables Inc., NZSF US Renewables Inc. and Longroad Energy Partners. (FERC docket EC17-188)
