Entravision buys digital advertising technology company

Broadcaster Entravision Communications Corp. acquired Smadex, a digital advertising technology company, for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition was completed via Entravision's Headway business unit, the company said June 13. Smadex will become part of Entravision's Headway business unit, a data-driven media buying company for marketers worldwide.

Based in Barcelona, Smadex is a mobile programmatic services provider and demand-side platform with proprietary technology that allows advertisers to execute performance campaigns on mobile devices.
