Seihyo fiscal Q1 loss narrows YOY

4554554 said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended May 31 amounted to a loss of ¥7.62 per share, compared with a loss of ¥9.13 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥3.1 million, compared with a loss of ¥3.8 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to negative 0.3% from negative 0.4% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose year over year to ¥1.05 billion from ¥1.02 billion, and total operating expenses increased on an annual basis to ¥1.06 billion from ¥1.04 billion.

Reported net income came to a loss of ¥5.0 million, or a loss of ¥12.19 per share, compared to a loss of ¥13.0 million, or a loss of ¥31.66 per share, in the year-earlier period.
