Japan's Awa Bank to buy back up to ¥1.5B of shares

Awa Bank Ltd. will repurchase up to 2 million of its own shares for up to ¥1.5 billion.

The transaction will take place between March 5 and March 23, the Japanese regional bank said Feb. 26.

The lender noted that it is planning to cancel all repurchased shares.

As of Feb. 26, US$1 was equivalent to ¥106.92.
