Canadian Zinc Corp. said Jan. 24 that it engaged AMC Mining Consultants (Canada) Ltd. and Ausenco Engineering Canada Inc. to complete a definitive feasibility study for the Prairie Creek zinc-lead-silver-copper mine in Canada's Northwest Territories.
The study will aim to support project debt financing for Prairie Creek.
"Discussions to date with financial institutions have confirmed that the opportunity of raising project debt financing for the Prairie Creek Mine would be enhanced by completing a definitive or bankable feasibility study ... " the company said.
The study is expected to be completed by mid-2017.
