Equipment upgrade, facilities overhaul drag Acron's FY'15 fertilizer output lower

Russian fertilizer producer 's totalcommercial output for mineral fertilizers in 2015 slid 1.5% to 5.0 milliontonnes compared to the prior year, according to a Jan. 27 statement.

The company's ammonia production dropped 3.1% year over yearto 1.8 million tonnes, nitrogen fertilizer production remained steady at 3.0million tonnes, while complex fertilizer production decreased 1.8% to 2.5million tonnes.

Commercial output of mineral fertilizers and ammonia waslower as a result of an equipment upgrade at Hongri Acron to improveenvironmental sustainability and a planned overhaul of Acron's facilities inVeliky Novgorod in April and May, and August and September 2015.

Total commercial output of all products in 2015 increased2.6% to 6.4 million tonnes compared to 2014.
