Little Rock, Ark.-based BearState Financial Inc. disclosed in a Form 8-K filed April 26 the promotionof Sherri Billings to senior executive vice president, CFO and chief accountingofficer of the company and unit BearState Bank NA.

Billings previously served as executive vice president and chief accounting officer ofBear State Financial and Bear State Bank.

She will serve as the company's principal financial officer andwill continue to serve as its principal accounting officer.

The filing also disclosed the promotion of James Machen to presidentof the bank. He previously served as senior executive vice president and CFO ofthe company and the bank.

The promotions are effective May 1.
