Lloyds sells London HQ to Hong Kong investor

Lloyds Banking Group Plc sold its London headquarters to Hong Kong-based Hengli Investments Holding Ltd. for an undisclosed price.

The banking group will lease back the 119,742-square-foot building, at 25 Gresham St., for the next 20 years, Savills, the real estate agency that advised the buyer on the deal, said in a release.

According to a Lloyds spokeswoman, the transaction allows the group to realize shareholder value in its property portfolio, Reuters reported.
