Assure Holdings Corp. said March 12 that its auditor EKS&H LLLP resigned over certain unresolved issues.
The development also prompted company President Matthew Willer to step down from the board and audit committee.
The auditor's resignation means the Parker, Colo.-based company will be unable to file its 2017 annual financial statements by the April 30 deadline.
Assure Holdings, which provides software to help monitor surgeries of the nervous system for safety and support, said the financial statements will be filed by the end of June.
The company said that while it disagrees with some of the reasons the auditor cited for its resignation it will investigate the circumstances that prompted the decision.
Assure Holdings will also apply for a management cease trade order while the audit committee appoints a new auditor.
