Unipres fiscal Q1 profit falls YOY

4912704 said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 came to ¥32.96 per share, a decrease of 39.3% from ¥54.27 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥1.40 billion, a decline of 45.9% from ¥2.59 billion in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin dropped to 2.0% from 4.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 16.7% year over year to ¥71.73 billion from ¥61.44 billion, and total operating expenses grew 16.0% from the prior-year period to ¥68.06 billion from ¥58.69 billion.

Reported net income decreased 70.1% from the prior-year period to ¥775.3 million, or ¥18.26 per share, from ¥2.59 billion, or ¥54.33 per share.
