Daidoh Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 was a loss of ¥12.17 per share, compared with a loss of ¥9.18 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥412.1 million, compared with a loss of ¥311.6 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to negative 7.5% from negative 5.3% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue fell 5.8% year over year to ¥5.49 billion from ¥5.83 billion, and total operating expenses decreased from the prior-year period to ¥6.25 billion from ¥6.42 billion.
Reported net income came to a loss of ¥446.0 million, or a loss of ¥13.17 per share, compared to a loss of ¥443.0 million, or a loss of ¥13.06 per share, in the prior-year period.
As of Nov. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥116.46.
