Transcorp Holdings fiscal H1 loss narrows YOY

Transcorp Holdings Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended April 30 came to a loss of S$499,380, compared with a loss of S$531,250 in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

Total revenue grew on an annual basis to S$449,000 from S$195,000, and total operating expenses rose 10.0% year over year to S$1.3 million from S$1.2 million.

Reported net income totaled a loss of S$803,000, or a loss of 0 cents per share, compared to income of S$10.2 million, or 6 cents per share, in the year-earlier period.

As of June 12, US$1 was equivalent to S$1.34.
