Nordea Bank names group compliance head

Nordea Bank AB(publ) hired LloydsBanking Group Plc's global head of compliance to serve in a similarrole for the Swedish lender.

Matthew Elderfield will join Nordea no later than Nov. 9 ashead of group compliance and a member of group executive management.Prior to taking uphis post at Lloyds in 2013, he served as deputy governor of the Central Bank ofIreland, deputy chairman of the European Banking Authority and a managing boardmember of the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority

Johan Ekwall will continue as acting head of groupcompliance until Elderfield takes up his new position.
