Live Nation EntertainmentInc. unit TicketmasterEntertainment Inc. is offering discount coupons to the 57 million eligiblecustomers as compensation for a class-action lawsuit, The PhiladelphiaInquirer reported May 10.
According to the report, an email is doing rounds declaring therecipient to be eligible for due benefits in the class-action lawsuit filed againstthe ticketing company's exorbitant fees. Reportedly, class members will get a $2.25discount on order processing fees when they buy show tickets, along with a $5 creditfor UPS shipment provided they used the same service for delivery previously. Theoption to use two shipping credits to a single transaction is also available, thereport said.
The redeeming codes reportedly will not be valid until June 18,2017, and even then it is not certain if they will come into action. This is becausethe credits will only be available to the class members if or when they have notused up "at least $10.5 million per year… of the $397 million available indiscount codes," according to the report.
