Western Refining launches binding open season for Texas gathering system

Western Refining Inc. commenced a binding open season for its proposed Conan crude oil gathering pipeline system, which would deliver crude from New Mexico to Texas.

The crude would originate from points in Lea County, N.M., and Loving County, Texas, to a new terminal to be built in Loving County through the 130-mile Conan pipeline system. The new terminal would be connected to long-haul pipeline carriers, according to a May 30 news release.

The open season is scheduled to close June 30. The project is owned and operated by Western Refining Conan Gathering LLC.
