Ausgold Ltd. significantly increased exploration activity at its Katanning gold project in Western Australia with the start of an aircore drilling program comprising 250 holes for over 10,000 meters.
Drilling will focus along the Jackson-Lone Tree, White Dam-Fraser and Olympia-Jinkas mineralized trends and will help the company prioritize targets at the project for follow-up reverse circulation drilling.
A ground-based moving loop electromagnetic survey at the Katanning project will start next week, the company said Dec. 1.
Resources at the Katanning project increased 23% in August to 785,800 ounces of gold contained within 20.98 million tonnes at 1.17 g/t of gold.
