McClatchy CFO to retire in 2020

McClatchy Co. CFO Elaine Lintecum will retire from the company at the end of June 2020.

The company expects to appoint Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer Peter Farr as its new CFO after Lintecum leaves, which is expected to be in the first quarter of 2020. Lintecum plans to remain with the company to assist with an orderly transition, the company said in an Oct. 18 SEC filing.

In addition, Vice President of Operations Mark Zieman will leave McClatchy at the end of the year. McClatchy said Zieman's role will not be replaced.
