said April1 that it has commenced a grade control drilling program at its kaolin deposit inWestern Australia.
The companyhas planned 21 air core drill holes over its 100% owned tenement E70/3923,located approximately 130 kilometers east of Perth.
The saidprogram will assist the company in planning its future mining operation at thesite. The proposed Meckering mine will provide kaolin feedstock for thecompany's high purity alumina plant at Johor, Malaysia.
Altech isplanning to mine approximately 120,000 tonnes of kaolin at Meckering for everythree years on a campaign basis, with each campaign to last for two months.
The companysaid that the resultant raw kaolin will be stockpiled and then containerizedinto standard shipping containers at the rate of around 40,000 tonnes perannum. It will then be transported to Johor for processing into high purityalumina at Altech's proposed plant.
