Kobe Steel to pay customers' costs over mislabeled products

Kobe Steel Ltd. plans to pay customers' costs related to its mislabeled products, Reuters reported Oct. 13, citing CEO Hiroya Kawasaki.

Kawasaki, however, said that it has not yet received any requests for compensation from its customers.

The company extended the list of products compromised by falsified data, including aluminum, copper, iron powder products and metal materials used in optical discs. The list of products may increase as the company continues its audit.
