Bligh Resources Ltd. on Dec. 19 announced an updated mineral resource estimate for its Bundarra gold project in Western Australia, which the company regards as an important step as it prepares for next phase of exploration and development at the site.
Using a 0.5 g/t of gold cutoff, the project hosts 431,000 ounces of gold contained within 7.0 million tonnes at 1.9 g/t of gold.
The updated estimate is based on 6,675 surface and grade control drill holes, although it excludes recent high-grade results from drilling at the project's Wonder North pit.
Bligh noted that planning is underway for extensional drilling to extend the recent high-grade intersections, as well as for open pit optimization of the upgraded resource.
