Calibre posts maiden resource estimate for Primavera gold-copper deposit

Calibre Mining Corp. on Dec. 13 announced an initial inferred mineral resource estimate for its Primavera gold-copper porphyry deposit in Nicaragua.

Using a 0.5 g/t of gold cutoff, the deposit hosts 45.0 million tonnes at 0.54 g/t of gold, 1.15 g/t of silver and 0.22% copper containing 782,000 ounces of gold, 1.7 million ounces of silver and 218.7 million pounds of copper.

According to the statement, the resource is based on drill core assay results from 33 holes totaling 13,491 meters of drilling and 52 trenches totaling 660.9 meters.

The gold-copper deposit resource is open to depth and to further expansion, with additional targets in close proximity to the existing drilled deposit.
