DCT Industrial Trust to exit S&P MidCap 400 index

S&P Dow Jones Indices said DCT Industrial Trust Inc. will be deleted from the S&P MidCap 400 index, effective before market open Aug. 22.

The industrial real estate investment trust will be replaced on the index by Irish auto parts and equipment maker Adient PLC. DCT is in the process of being acquired by S&P 500 constituent Prologis Inc.

S&P Dow Jones Indices and S&P Global Market Intelligence are owned by S&P Global Inc.
