Report: Goldman Sachs in talks to buy French hotelier B&B Hotels for €2B

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. is in talks to acquire PAI Partners' B&B Hotels chain for approximately €2 billion, Bloomberg News reported citing people familiar with the matter.

The French hotelier was founded in 1990 and was acquired by PAI in 2016 for approximately €790 million. Presently, the chain has more than 479 hotels in different markets including Brazil, Europe and Morocco.

Goldman Sachs is making the deal through its merchant banking division. The sources said a final decision is still pending and PAI may still decide against it.
