Aegon's Q4'17 profit up 110% YOY to €986M

Dutch insurer Aegon NV reported fourth-quarter 2017 net income of €986 million, up 110% from €470 million in the year-ago period.

The result included a one-time benefit of €554 million in income taxes resulting from recent U.S. tax reforms.

For full year 2017, net income came in at €2.36 billion, up from €586 million in 2016.
