International Bancshares names treasurer/accounting chief

Laredo, Texas-based International Bancshares Corp. on Dec. 21 promoted Judith Wawroski to treasurer and chief accounting officer.

Wawroski, who has been working in the company's accounting group for 25 years, was also named executive vice president of International Bank of Commerce.

On the same day, Imelda Navarro, who used to serve as treasurer and CFO of the company, was designated president of the company's retail banking operations.

In addition, Leonardo Salinas is retiring from the company's board, effective immediately. Salinas has been serving the company for 52 years.

According to S&P Global Market Intelligence data, Salinas, 83, was vice president of the company and senior executive vice president of the the bank until June 2000. He is also currently involved in real estate investments in Laredo.
