Nissan US sales decline 9.1% YOY in July

Japanese automaker Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. on Aug. 1 reported a 9.1% year-over-year decline in U.S. auto sales for July.

The company sold 98,880 units during the month, compared with 108,792 units in the year-ago period.

Nissan group total car sales dropped 24.9% year over year to 33,618 units, while Nissan group total truck sales rose 4.3% year over year to 56,602 vehicles.

Sales of the company's Leaf all-electric vehicles dropped 18.4% year over year to 938 vehicles.

In June, Nissan reported a 14.9% year-over-year decline in U.S. sales.
