* Rothschild & Co. SCA appointed Saeed al-Awar co-head of its Middle East business, Bloomberg News reported, citing two people familiar with the matter. He has been with the French investment bank for almost five years.

* GAM Holding AG named Florian Komac an investment manager for its global credit team, Reuters reported. Komac most recently served as a portfolio manager focusing on corporate credit at Axa XL. Based in Zurich, he will report to investment director Jack Flaherty in New York.

* Carsten Kratz, chairman for Germany and Austria at The Boston Consulting Group Inc., was appointed head of Germany, Austria and Switzerland for pan-European private equity investment firm Bridgepoint Capital Ltd., effective Oct. 1, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung noted.
