Myanmar's Kanbawza Bank to open representative office in Thailand

Myanmar's Kanbawza Bank Ltd. has received the go-ahead fromThailand's central bank to open a representative office in the country.

Zeyar Sein Htut, Kanbawza Bank's newly appointed countryhead for Thailand, will head the representative office. The bank said May 6that it will announce details about location and opening date of the office inthe near future.

The announcement came after Kanbawza Bank in 2015 announcedits plans to open representative offices in Thailand and Singapore.
